Everlast Composite Siding & Integrity by Marvin Windows, Melrose, MA 02176

A beautiful historic home built in 1900. This Melrose, MA home was once held together by old and brittle vinyl siding layering rotted wood and had windows older than 100 years old now features the finest of low maintenance and durable products. When we first spoke to these wonderful homeowners they were seeking siding and window products that would last beyond their lifetime and yet would keep a timeless appeal.

Both Everlast Composite Siding and Integrity Fiberglass Windows by Marvin were the solutions that best fit the bill within the harsh New England climate.

We began by stripping the 2 layers of siding down to the existing sheathing and found sections of rot that needed to be replaced to ensure the safety and longevity of the new siding and trim. Finding rot on a 100+ year-old home is quite normal and expected.

Prior to the siding and new windows going on we installed Low-E insulation with a 4.1 R-value. We then proceeded to install the brand new Integrity Wood-Ultrex windows and soon after mounted the siding along with new PVC trim.
