A beautiful victorian home situated in Melrose, MA 02176 underwent an exterior remodel to bring it back to its full awe-spiring appearance! Our team loved being able to restore the beauty of this Melrose home by using a combination of arrow and octagonal cedar shake shingles and replacing the original wood clapboard with 4.5” Antique Ivory colored, Everlast Composite Siding.
While replacing the cedar shingles across the home, it was no easy task to preserve the antique stained glass windows. Our team nevertheless was able to apply techniques to reduce any shaking or vibrations while the installation took place.
As we do on every home we work on, we began by removing the existing siding and stripping it down to the sheathing. After any rot is identified and repaired, we begin mounting the moisture barrier and different components that make the GorillaPlank® Siding System.
